Happy Monday everyone!! The last few weeks I’ve been working behind the scenes and am excited to announce that Monday Mercies has branched off from Galaxy Glasses and become its own substack! So if you are looking for updated Monday Mercy content,
This evolution has four main benefits:
Reader control — Up to this point the Galaxy Glasses blog has done double duty: biweekly posts on astronomy, AND weekly Monday uplifts. However, some readers prefer the just the uplifts, others the astronomy (and some like both!).
So now you can choose! If you’re subscribed to Galaxy Glasses and enjoy Monday Mercies, have no fear: I’ve automatically added you to the Mercies list, so you’ll keep getting emailed a weekly Monday Mercy! But if you only want astronomy, and no mercies, it’s now easy: just unsubscribe from the Monday Mercies substack (though I’d obviously love you to stay!).
Focus — Galaxy Glasses can now focus on Astronomy and hope, Monday Mercies will focus on uplifting blurts!
New ways to participate — paid subscribers to Monday Mercies will get a sneak preview of upcoming mercies each month, and can give feedback and participate in the planning process!
New ways to share — do you know someone who could care less about astronomy, but would like a weekly uplift? Someone who loves the ways words rub against each other, and the rhythm of short weekly poems, but maybe not discussions of science and faith? Share Monday Mercies with them!
When I started Monday Mercies in June of 2023, I had no idea what I was doing. I still don’t, but I’ve learned that having clear focus and expectations can be helpful. So, like a fledgling tree, I’m trying to learn to branch, and to grow toward the sky. Thanks for being with me on this ride!
